Instruct our students, as we have always done throughout these more than 100 years of existence. With quality, dynamism and character. Make “the Worlds” that surround us today known and raise awareness of respect for their initiatives and creativity. Help to discover, to strengthen all “thinking skills”, to lead to the blossoming of critical, inventive and judicious thinking.

Include

Include the “Other” and everyone else, without exception, in our microworld. Educate for freedom, autonomy, dignity, solidarity, respect for nature. Lead to active learning that involves students in small projects that go beyond time and space and serve as a “launch ramp” for major life projects.

Investigate

To grow in always knowing more, looking for solutions to problems that arise, in a creative participation that can lead to the realization of great ideas. Help create greater awareness that giving everything you can will help change the world. Instill a taste for creating, inventing, investigating. We encourage doubt, criticism, curiosity, risk, the adventure of being a creator.

Internalize

We lead students to live and cherish the most beautiful Values in Life: Simplicity, Joy, Friendship, Sharing, Fraternity, Kindness and Concord. Virtues that have made the College a space of love and tolerance, where a true and genuine family spirit is experienced. We are at our students’ side, giving them the tools they need to grow up serene, happy and happy.

Innovate

Preparing as future citizens for the reality of a globalized world, in continuous change, centered on knowledge, where everyone tries to compete. We intend to educate towards respect, without borders, where the ability to create is a goal to be achieved for each person.

Everyone, sooner or later, will be evaluated by the seeds we sow in the heart of the living world that moves in this green, safe and calm space such as Colégio do Sardão.

What is education?

What does it mean to be polite?

What is worth teaching?

From these questions, the main inconvenience of Colégio do Sardão stands out: the meaning to be given to its educational responsibilities.

Confronting himself, his past, his present and his future, Sardão moved the entire educational community, looked for a path and embodied it in his Educational Project.

Returning to the questions, they further reveal the need to clarify the idea we have of School, the possibility of creating knowledge, elucidating values and building memory. Now this is where the Educational Project becomes a Life Project and, in an instant, becomes the guiding guide for all the work to be carried out.

Interestingly, its elaboration led us to discover common bonds, collective desires and explore personal motivations. What has been built and that we now present is a collective work, prepared, as if it were a relay race, limited to its circumstances. We hope that the condiments used in its preparation sharpen the senses of all of us.

That is our ambition.
